My dh and I have been asked to be ready with everything in the event we are picked to adopt a 15 mo old AA boy. What products do I need to have at home to help this little guys skin and hair? Does anyone have a favorite? We are so excited, but very nervous. :flower:

First of all, congratulations!! I can imagine how excited you are.
One of the first things to invest in: a rocking chair! A 15 months old little boy can be quite heavy, and it's a wonderful place to relax bond with your son. Also, read the book "Weaver's Craft - Toddler Adoption". It's a big help in understanding what the little guy might be going through.
You will definitely need a good moisturizing lotion for his skin, and in my experience, if you see a black lady at a store, ask her about what products she might recommend. I don't live in the US, so I can't make a recommendation of what's good and what's not.
Also, don't over-buy, because you don't know what will work for him.
For my son's hair and skin I like olive oil products.
There are many very helpful people here on this forum, who will surely be able to tell you.
:) Again, good luck!

Be sure to only wash his hair NO MORE THAN every 5-7 days. If you do it more than that his hair and scalp can become very dry. Olive oil hair care products tend to work well but if you check out This site They will have the names of some specific products.
