I was wondering if you could tell me how you're transitioning from nursing a toddler to preparing to nurse a newborn. I have a 6 month old bio daughter that I'm currently nursing. We hope to adopt a newborn in about two years and I would like to breastfeed. Since I'll be nursing my DD for a few years, I'd like to transition to nursing our next child rather than doing the protocol. So I'm wondering what you're doing to get your supply ready for the newborn/ tandem. Thanks in advance for sharing (I could have PM'd you but maybe this will be helpful to someone else too).

Just got this today because we have been switching over computers. :-) Well, I was pumping on top of nursing, but our wait has been so long, I have backed up on the some. Ok...a lot. I just randomly pump here and there to see if I can get anything and usually get about 1/2 an ounce. I am taking the Domperidone, which makes my little boy happy because my milk is more. LOL We talk about sharing with the baby when it gets here and have a book that shows mommy nursing a new baby and we look at it. When we are actually matched, then I will pump like crazy and up my Dom some more. Maybe go back on the herbs. I am planning on having the 1st week with the new baby be a nurse in around the clock and hubby plans to wait on us hand and knee so that I can get my milk up. Sooooo....I think that is it and I am hoping it works well. :-) I am not too worried about it though.
