how do you do a jail / prision search?

My Birth Listing: Nina Nicole Lee 09/21/1982 BM lbutler) Adopted Name: Nina Marie Lebovitz 09/21/1982 Sister:Tanya Lynette Lee 08/17/1983 bm butler adopted: Tawny Lyn Lebovitz 08/18/1983 Fathers Last name Lee. WE were both born In San Bernardino, Ca. He was in Jail/Prison before my sister was born...while i was a baby. so my guess after 11/82 until unknown time. How do i begin to search for him. That is absolutely all i know about him.... Lee is white, not Asian. So, that helps a bit. Any list anyone can get me?
