I think we should have a Rwanda section.
My husband and I are about to start a dual adoption and we are thinking about Ethiopia and Rwanda. Those are 2 counties in Africa that my agency works with. I know Rwanda is relatively new (I think?) but seems to be wonderful! From what I understand, you can adopt infants, choose gender, it is affordable and both countries have many beautiful children who need loving parent/parents.
I have heard fellow adopting parents mention the long wait (2 weeks). But, since my DH and I are prepared for the -up to 8 weeks- in Colombia, 2 weeks sounds like a vacation!
Anyone out there with Rwanda insight?

Hi Fran
I have also ever wanted to adopt from either Rwanda or Mozambique but Mozambique seems to be more difficult as you need to be a Citizen for 9 month.
I will be a single parent from South Africa but all I seem to find on the web is for USA citizen to adopt.
Do you perhaps know whom I can contact to get the adoption information from Rwanda for SA Citizen perhaps.
I guess I can go through a lawyer here in S.A but the laws seem to be so unclear so not sure if it is better to research myself.
Any advice would be great
Thx
Charmien
Can't help you with either of your "Preferred" countries since I'm still trying to find info on Ethiopia adoption from Canada other than the one agency that's been getting lots of Press coverage due to filling Bankruptcy.
