I need help with the state of california records

I need help with figuring out how to get my records from the state. I was one when I was taken by child protective services and then became a ward of the state of california and later adopted in california. I do not have any basic information for myself. I have been told that I have been celebrating the wrong birthday and I do not know anything about where I was born, or what kind of history I might have. Any help would be sincerely apprieciated.
