Have any of you complete the FBI clearance check? What did you have to do? Where did you go to get fingerprinted?
TIA!!
:thankyou:
Yep, the fingerprints are cleared through the FBI data base. The program is called F.A.S.T. and your agency should be giving you info on this because before you can do it you have to be entered in to the FAST database, and given a special code. But once the agency gave me the green light it was very simple & took less than 15 min.

Old post but I am just doing this now. Here is the answer for Texas:
Information regarding Criminal History Checks:
Go to this website: Texas Department of Public Safety. You will see a box for "Crime Records Service." Click on "Fingerprinting Services" and go to the last line under General Information (Criminal History Access for Person Seeking to Adopt).
Or go to https://fbi.fieldprint.com You will need to find a location nearest you, make an appointment. You will get fingerprinted there and the fingerprints go straight to the FBI and gets checked. Took me 2 minutes to do that and by the time I got back home I had my results. Fastest and easiest thing I ever did!:cheer:

Print the card on card stock paper, find a local place that will do the old fashioned ink prints, then mail it off. all the info you need is at the FBI link above.
I agree with April. Go to https://fbi.fieldprint.com
Find the location near you, make an appointment and it is done instantly. No fingerprinting cards, mailing it in and having to wait! Good luck.
