It seems Warsaw started a new process to issue passports at the beginning of July and there is a slowdown in getting them processed. I heard an Italian couple has been waiting two weeks to kid their kids passports. I was wondering if anyone had any information on this and if there is an expected timeframe for this to get better. We have our court date next week - so we are hoping not to be caught in passport limbo.
There was also a recommendation to potentially apply through a regional office - so as to avoid this slow down.
Any info would be appreciated. Thanks
I looked on polish websites and I am afraid you might have problems in any office you will go not just in Warsaw. From June 22 they have new procedures and new passports with biometrics (fingerprints). They need to train the workers how to do the new procedures. Additionally not all location have all new equipment necessary. In new procedures they have to scan your fingers twice. First when you apply they have to use one scanner and then when you pick up they have another scanner to verify your fingerprints with the ones in your passport. I hope you will get home soon.

Thank you. At least now I know enough to ask the right questions. - like does the region have the fingerprint scanners.....etc.
When we went two years ago the warsaw office told us two weeks, so we went to the region and got a temporary one in one day. (one very long day of sitting in a room with my son for like 7 hours) You should ask if they still can do temporary ones.
