I am trying to do a private adoption in florida. I want to proceed this adoption without an agency or an attorney. What is the first step towards this type of adoption. I see that they have "Petition for Adoption" forms in some states but there is none for Florida. It will be great if someone can guide me where to start. Thanks

Hello! did you have any luck finding this stuff? We are just starting adoption #2 in Florida and would love to do as much ourselves as possible. Adoption #1 was in New York and we had an attorney do the paperwork for us. anything you've learned would be much appreciated. your post is kind of old - so hopefully you are busy parenting! thanks! jamie
