I joined this site just to get some info on something.
A friend of mine is in the Mixte-Banque program (foster-to-adopt) here in Quebec .... does anyone know if the biological mother stays intouch with the potential adopting parents?? And does she actually have any rights to the child? They were a bit nervous about that.

Hi Bruce-
To answer your question- it is my understanding that the bio-mom and family can request visits during the fostering part of the process. And they are usually granted those visits. However, once an adoption is completed, they no longer have rights to visit.
