This moratorium was imposed in March 2001 for a few reasons, one being that there is a rumor in Moldova the children were being adopted so that their organs could be harvested. We all know that this is ridiculous but we need to convince the Moldovans of this. The Ambassador of Moldova (to the U.S.) is now amassing information on already adopted Moldovan children/babies in the U.S. to provide this information to the President/Prime Minister and the General Prosecutors office in Moldova. With this updated information he hopes to end the moratorium on adoption in Moldova. I want to appeal to all adoptive parents out there of Moldovan children to PLEASE SEND the Ambassador Ciobanu a medical report, a copy of any already filed post placement reports and some pictures of your children. The medical report can be brief, stating the child's statistics, vaccinations and anything they have been treated for here in the U.S. Pictures should be of children with parents and other family members. The citizens of Moldova need to feel secure that their nation's children are well taken care of, loved and treasured here in the U.S. I myself have cooperated with the FBI and have taken a day off from work to meet the Ambassador in person with my son. I have done this in the hope that Moldova will reopen so that the children I left behind last year in the orphanage can go home to their families. Please do not fear that any information you provide will be used against you in some way. All adoptions are absolutely final and our children are now U.S. citizens. You can email the Ambassador at ciobanu@dgsys.com or write to him at: Ceslav Ciobanu Ambassador to the Republic of Moldova 2101 S Street N.W. Washington D.C. 20008 Fax: 202-667-1204 If you have adopted a Moldovan child/children please join in this effort to end the moratorium in Moldova and to help the waiting children and families. Thank you, LB

We are wondering what has gone on recently with any adoptions from Moldova? My husband and I are considering this country for an adoption. What has your experience been like? We are looking at Wide Horizons for Children... anyone with great reviews/experiences with the agency and/or country?
Please PM me, we'd love to hear from you.
