I found out that we have a legal plan through my work where attorney fees are covered for uncontested adoptions as long as we use a lawyer from their list. If we're going through an agency would we normally have our own lawyer? Or is legal help part of what we'd be paying for when going through an agency? We haven't yet selected an agency, by the way. Would a lawyer need to be licensed in the state where the adoptive mom resides?
