When I was in grad school I had a teacher that implemented a "one whine, three cheers" rule. Basically, if you complained about something, she then made you list three good things.
And since we all like to whine once in a while (who me???? :eek:) I thought this would be a nice little way to even things out :)
I'll start!
:hissy: My phone passed away last night after an accidental drowning in a pedicure bath.
:banana: I have an AWESOME new apartment with an AWESOME new queen size memory foam mattress and bed!
:banana: Long Board is coming up tonight for the weekend!
:banana: I got a cute new black jacket last night courtesy of gift cards :clap:

WHINE: I have a HORRIBLE UTI and the medicine is not working (maybe I need a couple of "Cape Codders!"). CHEER: It's almost 5:00 pm on a Friday, and I don't have to work again until Tuesday! CHEER: The Pats are playing on Sunday and I expect them to whump the Jets! CHEER: My Sis is coming home from OH next week with my awesome nephew and nieces! Happy weekend, everyone!

:clap: My cell phone (that I thought drown on Thursday) resurrected itself after three days of black screen!!!!

:clap: Tickets to see a taping of "So You Think You Can Dance" for Wednesday's results show!
:hissy: My nutty volunteers are on their way into the office. Their goal in life might be to drive me crazy. And I'm afraid they're getting close to succeeding.....
:happydance: I leave for Seattle in a month (yay for a mini vacation!)
:happydance: Long Board came down for dinner last night on his way through town....
:happydance: ....and I met his sister who gave me the "cool" seal of approval.

whine: My son will not stop turning on the outside tap and our water tank is empty with no rain in sight. So we'll have to buy some water...ahahahah...that's less money for xmas.
1) I have found a short term solution to cover the taps with tins and wire.
2)My father will put a different top on the taps at xmas so that my son can't turn them on.
3)the forcast says there could be rain on wednesday....dance, dance,dance...
WHINE: It's Monday and my daycare babies have TRASHED my clean house and I was so happy it was clean and sparkly and so now I want to scream....oh and my peaceful quiet house is now full of it (screaming)....Blah blah blah.CHEERS: My baby girl CRAWLED :-) (we thought she was gonna be super delayed, but she's just a little delayed.)CHEERS: My big girl is growing up so beautifully and making more good choices than bad...very fun.CHEERS: I am getting a 55 INCH FLAT SCREEN TV (from a friend) SOON.....I'm gonna LURV IT big time!!! Big Big time.CHEERS: (an extra one) I am almost done writing my book...so a new gig is in the works. :-)

And for today....
:grr: My boss has hit a new low....and has officially told me that I can't go to MY meeting tomorrow (for something I'm in charge of and is a primary responsibility of my position) unless I finish a report that SHE is supposed to do and have ready tomorrow. Of course, SHE was assigned this report two weeks ago, and asked me to start THIS MORNING. Did I say :grr:?
:banana: Long Board convinced me to leave earlier for our vacation and fly out with him, so mini vacation is now nine days with him in the mountains :love: Very happy!
:banana: I'm a little sleepy, but it's because I'm enjoying my new Monday night ritual so much - I take my nephew to karate, then spend the evening watching football with my brother, SIL, and neices and nephews.
:banana: My brother always makes DELICIOUS dinners on Monday nights :)
