Our daughter has been on the adhd med Vyvanse for several weeks now, and it is really working to help her hyperactivity and impulsivity. But we are having a problem w/ anger and agression (this was always present - only it is worse now) as well as hightened sensory/ocd issues.
We have an appt. Tuesday w/ the ped neurologist to discuss a solution.
I know many of you have kids w/ the same issues as our daughter - early neglect, ADHD, hypervigelance, sensory integration (we do OT now for this), OCD tendencies.
What worked for your kids in terms of meds? Any advice/insights would be appreciated.
Meds for ADHD affect kids differently. What works for one kid can send another through the roof with aggression. It can be a trial and error type thing until you find the right med for your child.
Our ADHD/RAD child went through the roof violence wise when put on Adderal, but is now doing great on Concerta.
Hopefully your ped neurologist is good and will try a different med for your child.

agression was H's worst symptom, we use TENEX for the agression and focolin for the inattentiveness - she's made really remarkable progress but the lack of agression has been a godsend, she was just so rough it was scary.
