Hello, my name is Amber Barger and I am a doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology Program at Argosy University, Chicago. I am conducting research on individuals who have been adopted. This study will specifically examine the relationship between individual adoption experiences and the way adult adoptees feel about themselves and relate to other people. My interest in working with an adopted population stems from my interests in understanding how early interactions and relationships impact later relationships. My hope is to conduct this research to better understand the impact that early relationships and interactions with adoptive parents have on adopted adults.
