Hi-
I read your post and thought I would reply. I was born in 1970 in Buffalo, NY. Birth mother was around 21 years of age and was not married, however, she did have a son prior to me. ( maybe 3 years prior to me- not sure.)

Hi,
I do not have many details so it makes it tough. My mom was 22 and single. She said that she was told that the baby was adopted by doctors. She feels that names on the birth cert might have been changed. I would be a half brother.
I pray for success in your search.
Hi-
Thanks for the reply. I do not have much info either. I am not sure of the hospital, but I think it may have been Booth Memorial in Buffalo( Salvational Army home for un-wed mothers?) I have no proof of that- that was always a guess. I believe she was 21 years at the time of my birth. My birth date is July 8, 1970. Again, I am not sure how accurate that is, it is my understanding that dates, etc., were changed. I know that I have a half brother, as the birth mother had a son 3 or so years prior to me. Evidently, her parents were not aware of the second pregnancy, but there may have been a relative in the Niagara Falls? area ? who she possibly stayed with prior to my birth. Again, not sure. According to the non-identifying info I received, she was of german, dutch and english descents. She had blue eyes ( and so do I ). The family, I believe was from out of state. Possibly PA ? And I think the birth mother's father perhaps was in the coal minning industry? I have no proofs, that is just what the case worker told my family. I was not adopted by doctors. My father was a county legislature, and my mother did not work at the time of my adoption. I do know, however, that I was adopted through Niagara County Social Services.
Unfortunately, I think there is too many differences, but I wanted to share -just in case- I would be willing to share more, it you think it is worth it.
Good luck & Merry Christmas to you.
