Hi, my name is Holly. I am an adoptive mother. We adopted a baby in April. We have a very open adoption with our birth mother and her family. I am also do a blog for a group that I am a member of called Families Supporting Adoption. I am hoping to encourage adoptive parents to have open adoptions for birthmothers who would like them, and to help adoptive parents to get rid of some of their anxiety and fears about having an open adoption. I was hoping to have a section on the blog called "thoughts of a birthmother," where birthmothers would anonymously answer some questions that I have thought of that I am hoping would increase understanding to potential and current adoptive couples about birthmothers perspective and also about open adoption. I thought I would also try to compile the info into a booklette to hand out to adoptive couples. I have only a few connections with birthmothers through our birthmom, but would love to have a lot more input. I wanted to see if you were interested in contributing, or if you know anyone who may be. If you want to check out my personal blog it is The Kristiansen Family Blog and the adoption one is Families Supporting Adoption Maryland Chapter Blog. I just started the latter one today so there is not much info. I did most of the content just so that there would be something when people go to it, but the majority of it will be contributed by adoptive parents and birthmothers and other people invested in adoption. If you are interested in contributing just email me and I will forward you the questions I asked our birthmom. My email is whereisholly@gmail.com. Thank you for your time in advance!Holly
