Dear Parents, I am writing my PhD dissertation on how American women are socialized into the mother role through parenting magazines. I am in search of volunteers who would be willing to read one to three articles found in recent popular US parenting magazines and then answer a short survey about themselves and their perspective on the article(s). There is no financial compensation for your participation; however, you get to be a part of a research project that seeks to find real women with real life experience and opinions. To be eligible to participate, you need to be a woman living permanently in the United States, have at least one child aged 5 or under (not yet in Kindergarten) or be currently pregnant, and be proficient in reading and writing in the English language.
