Anyone adopted recently from NJ/NYarea?

I'm just wondering if anyone has adopted recently from the NJ/NY area. If so, would you mind pm-ing me what agency you used and what your experiences were with them. I'd also like to know how long your wait was. We've been waiting almost 3 years now and we're getting a little frustrated. We had alot of calls the 1st year but we turned down a few, and we had one match but the bmom decided to parent in the end. In the past 18 months though we've had nothing. The agency is saying its because (1) they're not getting alot of e-moms coming to them and (2) we want a boy so automatically they can't show our profile to an e-mom who hasn't had an ultrasound(and apparently this has been the case recently). We're just wondering what other people's experience has been locally. We're also wondering to ourselves if the decrease in e-moms coming to our Agency is just a dry spell for them, or are Agencies in general getting less e-moms wanting to place in the past 2 years. Just curious what other people's thoughts are on this?Any input appreciated.Also, we are waiting for a newborn AA or bi-racial baby boy.Thanks!
