If you were born in 1966 your mother was brainwashed;
convinced that you were better off without her and
you deserved a home with both a mother and a father.
(Sad thing is that many of you adoptees' adoptive
parents divorced later and you were raised in a one
parent home anyway). She was told that society
would never accept you if she raised you; that you
would always be looked down upon and ridiculed by
the other children at school. She was told that she must
NEVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES ask about what
happened to you. She was told to go home and forget
about you. But I guarantee you she did not do that;
she likely bought into that garbage she was fed.
She may still be mourning for the loss of her firstborn,
but not searching because of the things she was told.
You owe it to yourself to actively search by disclosing
information that might enable others to help you or
to not post anything at all. These forums are read
daily by not only birthmoms and adoptees who are
searching but volunteer searchers who are trying
to help people such as yourself.
