Think of it as training wheels for teenagers... ;)
rofl....i have 2 teens....and i always say my teens and my 2 and 4 year old all behave the same way...the only difference is the teenagers are old enough to know better. lol. ;)
I think they wake up and say to themselves "today is the day I'm going to step over the line. I'm gonna do it".:prop:
Oh see...I always thought it was the day they discovered Mom had buttons and they were fun to push and then if a button got stuck, they got MAD.
Nothing more than a big carnival fun house! LOL!

Funny, cause my pre-teen does the same thing
lol Crick.
Please don't tell me it is preparation for the teen years. I have 3 toddlers!!!!!
I tell you, they can push buttons up the wazzoo. The thing I have learned that helps me to not lose it is to have a 'yelling contest'. Diffuses the tension every time. We stand around and face each other and then I yell, T1 yells, T2 yells (T3 hasn't joined in yet). You can't help but to start laughing. The neighbors think you are nuts so be sure to close the doors and windows first. ;)
lol...yeah, he is a screamer...we also keep the windows closed. lol.
but this week my 2 year old decided it is really fun to throw water...so for a few days he would pick up his full cup of water and chuck it across the kitchen. i thought i had gotten him to stop...when he moved on to taking a big sip of water...and then spitting it out like a fountain all over the table full of everyone else's food. i thought that i got him to stop...this morning i ran into my room for some chapstick while he was sitting still watching the dinosaur train....and in runs the kid as i'm leaving my room...he had gotten himself a HUGE cup of water...he looked at me, and poured it out all over my carpet and then ran away. really? really? lol.
That's funny. While I was reading this thread, my 3 year old started saying "poopy" over and over in the other room. So while I was talking to her about going in the bathroom for a timeout (because that's where "poopy talk" belongs), my 2 year old came in the room naked from the waste down. So I guess I can be relatively confident there was poop in his diaper given the conversation my kids were having. AND I CAN'T FIND HIS DIAPER ANYWHERE!!!
Definitely shaping up to be an interesting day . . .

Jalapeno - just checking in to see if you found the diaper?;) LOL!
Ha Ha !! Yes I did - it was completely dry, go figure.
Whew! I had a lost diaper once that I found in the closet. Not empty. Ugh!
I kind of miss the toddler days sometimes. They are just so cute when not in the throes of tantrums and trouble!! LOL!
Oh those sweet memories of toddlerhood :D I know I'll miss these days too. My DD is almost four and for some reason it's just not that cute anymore when she has a meltdown. But my two year olds can be hysterical when they're really mad!
I guess my own record remains pretty "clean" with regards to diapers. The thing I do tend to find is long lost sippy cups. Cups that have been sitting the car for a week of 115 degree temperatures half filled with {what once was} milk. Blech!!
