I was born on 09/09/1974 in Jacksonville, Florida. I was told my birthmom was in her early teens and my BF was in his early twenties. I have non id information that was given to my adopted parents but how much is really the truth? What I have is that my birthmom was 125 pounds, 5 foot 5 inches tall, straight reddish blonde hair, blue eyes and fair skin. She was of Swedish-Irish German descent and of the Protestant faith. She had completed nine years of education. She loved swimming and horse back riding. Maternal grandmother was in her late forties, 5 foot 4 inches tall, blonde hair, blue eyes, and fair skin. She was a homemaker who enjoyed reading. Maternal grandfather was also in late forties, 6 foot tall, 200 pounds, blonde hair, blue eyes and fair skin. He was a department store manager. birthmom had two brothers and two sisters. The older brother was in the armed forces and loved flying. The younger brother was about eight years old. The older of the sisters died in her mid twenties from a heart occlusion and psychomotor epilepsy. The other sister was said to have worked as a civil service worker. Not much is given on my BF just that he was in his early twenties, 6 foot 1 inches tall, black wavy hair and blue eyes. He enjoyed working on cars. He had a sister a couple years older than he.
My adoption was handled by The Children's Home Society of Florida in Jacksonville, Florida. I stayed with a foster mother until Valentine's Day 1975 when my adopted parents came to take me home with them. My life has been really good and I love my parents with all my heart but there is just something missing in my life and it has always been that way. I know life throws curves because I have had my fair share thrown at me. I have been on both sides of the adoption process. I know how hard the decision is but at the same time as parents we want what is best for our children. I have children of my own now and I am a birth mother as well. I pray that one day I will meet the special woman who brought me into this world so I can tell her thank you.
