step parent adoption starting in ohio

I can not even say how happy I am we are starting this, and yet Ive never been so nervous. Bio daddy (i call him sperm donor, thatԴs ALL hes done) has never been in picture. My son is over 6. The attorney says there should be no problems and yet i still sit here with butterflies in my stomach...what if..what if. WeԴve told him the truth when he 5. He asked a few questions then said he has a dad, a great dad. Nothing has been brought up since. Although he is so excited, he is already signing his school papers with his new last name. I am so nervous because bio dad was in jail for much of my sons life, 4 out of 6 years. what if he comes back with the poor me - iȴm trying sob story. seriously you would think the judge would see - never seen son, in jail for 4 years for attempted murder....should be a given. how do u get out in 4 for atp murder?!?! makes me sick. i guess iȴm just looking for people whove went through similar. Got to try and clear these butterflies.Thanks all
