Have You And Your Family Resided Within The United States For Most Of Your Life? My name is Sandra Vega and I am a doctoral student at John F. Kennedy University who is studying how internationally adopted individuals adapt to life in American families. This study will contribute to understanding the experiences of those who are internationally adopted. Furthering our understanding in this area will help mental health care providers be able to provide more effective treatments. It will also contribute to informing agencies that facilitate international adoptions as a means of educating potential adoptive families of the experiences their internationally adopted child may face.
