What are the questions I should ask to make sure that an agency is single-friendly? I'm just in the initial stages of this process and have only looked at agencies online and most say singles are ok, but how can I tell if they're really going to treat me equally/fairly/give me a fighting chance? Are there good questions to ask? Things to look for in an info meeting? A way to just "know?" I'm sure most want to make it seem like they're accepting, so how do you know if they really are or are just putting it on to get your $$?
Thanks for the tips!
I asked them how many placements they had in the last year, how many of them were with singles. I also asked how many familiies they had waiting and how many of them were singles. I also asked how long singles generally waited. And I asked how many singles adopted the type of child I was interested in too.
hope this helps - picking an agency is tough.
