Hello all - just wanted to introduce myself. My husband and I are hoping to foster-adopt through the state of Missouri. We are in the beginning stages of the whole process. I found this community and thought it might be a good resource as we move forward. We currently live in KC and have been married for coming up on 5 years. No children at the moment, although we don't have any reason to believe that we couldn't have them biologically. Adoption has always been something we've wanted to do. Now that we're a little older and are very stable we thought that now would be a good time to start the process. I'm never sure what to put in an 'intro' so if anyone would like more info just ask!

Welcome! Are you currently licenced and through whom? I am also in the KC area, we have a pretty good supportive community around here! How many are you licenced for, what ages and genders, and where are you located?
MFCAA is a really great resource for all foster/adoptive parents [url=http://www.mfcaa.org/]MFCAA - Midwest Foster Care and Adoption Association[/url] They have a list serv that sends out emails with helpful info as well as kiddos they are looking for homes for, and people post openings they have as well.
