Does anyone have suggested books or other reference material on Domestic Adoption? We currently have "The Complete Adoption Book" written by Laura Beauvais-Godwin & Raymond Godwin, Esq. It does have some really good information.
Unfortunately this was the only domestic adoption book our local bookstore had in stock. I've found several other titles online that look pretty good, but really would like someone's input before I order any of them.
A few of the titles are:
15 Things You Need to Know about Adoption
Attaching in Adoption
Successful Adoption
Adoption for Life
Adoption Resources
Addopting Essentials Guide
You Can Adopt
If you have read any of these and would or would not recommend them, please let me know. Of if there is another book you feel offers fantastic information, please share.
:thanks:

If You Can Adopt is by the editors of Adoptive Families magazine, then I highly recommend it. I read it recently, and it's very informative. I think there's another book with a similar title that's by some random person.
I liked Adopting in America by Randall Hicks. I also highly recommend Reaching Out, by Nelson Handel. It covers how to write a "Dear Birthmother" letter.
I hope this helps!
