I don't know if this is the proper place to post this but as waiting adoptive parents we are going through the "what if a birthmother doesn't pick us" blues.
I've heard and read that birthmothers usually want an average loving family for their child. We fit the bill but we can't help thinking we aren't wealthy enough or pretty enough for someone to pick us.
What helped you to make your decision when choosing an adoptive family for your child?:grouphug:

For me it was how I clicked with the adoptive mother. The more I spoke to her, the more I liked her and enjoyed her warmth and positive attitude. Also, asking them about their interests, how they spend time with the family, how long they've known each other, whether my daughter would have her own room or not helped... Being able to envision what kind of upbringing she would have with them helped me a lot!
Good luck with your adoption.
