i have a copy of the original birth certificate in new york state. baby was born at father baker's in buffalo, lackawanna area.
birth certificate was sent to adoptive parents, per note on certificate, 3 days after birth. does anyone have any ideas on how i can find adoptive certificate, to find this child , from this certificate. i know the name given on original certificate, date of birth, registered number on certificate, etc, - does anyone out there have any ideas?

India, its hard to know how to help someone because you dont know where they are in their search, in terms of info they already have.If you have been adopted, somewhere there are court papers. If you can find the court where the final adoption took place, you may be able to get some non-identifying info. You are entitled to that. Some people have been able to get a copy of the final adoption decree, and you may be able to get that.Contact the NY Bureau of Vital Statistics to see if they can tell you where the adoption took place.I wish you the best.
