So we went through all of the paperwork and were told 3 weeks ago to expect an answer in 1-2 weeks and should go through with no problems. We have yet to hear anything. I did write to out contact guy (no idea his title) at dcs asking about it and he never wrote me back. That is not unusual for him I usually have to ask him something 2-3 times before getting a response.
I am wanting the access numbers to the website so we can start searching for kids to adopt. Is this something he will provide for us or does it come from the state?
I have no problems bugging him to till I get my answer do it all the time but don't want to if he isn't the place it is coming for. I was told we would get something in the mail..but from who? We are looking to adopt a sibling group of 4 prefer 3 girls and a boy because that is what will fit well in our bedrooms.
I cant give you an exact contact.. But I have found that if you start calling numbers you eventually reach someone that will point you in the right direction . I did this when I was waiting and impatient to hear info back from Indy regarding our subisidy eligibility. I found that the people I did contact there were alot nicer about giving info that what I had expected. I thought they would probably tell me they cant give that info. or something. but most were happy to help. NOt the same situation as yours.. but I dont stop till I get someone to answer me.! I figured that they dont care about putting me off.. Im not gonna worry about stepping on any toes! I also keep email addresses and such.. when I happen to recieve somethign that was copied to many. I would think your LCM would be able to at least tell you where it is to come from. There is a list of contacts ( and a chart for some dept) of who does what.. and the numbers to contact them..you have to dig a little but its there. hope that helps! Ill see if I cant find it when I have time today.. which I am anticipating I will have!
