I don't know why, but the first post in this thread strikes me as a possible troll. A couple things stand out for me:
I lost my son to CPS in Dec after domestic violence and my neglect to protect my son
I lost my parental rights in Dec 09.
I don't know of any cases where tpr occurred the same month that removal from the home happened.
NOw I was told that there has to be a way to appeal it, i have appealed it in court twice thru the county, but nothing, after classes, and therapy that the social workers had recommended but nothing worked.
Generally speaking, parents have the right to appeal ONE time.
I just don't know. It just sent my antennae up.

I always read those type of posts with a jaundiced eye. They never sounds real to me. In my state, she would have an attorney who would know what to do.

What I find most interesting..
She references the CPS Bmoms get more respect than Voluntary bmoms thread. Hmm...
I say troll and I am curious to see how it plays out.
Glad I'm not the only one who has antennae quivering on this one. I'll be in and out today, but will keep an eye on it while I'm in.
I agree Christine. In Oregon she would have a court appointed attorney helping her through all of this. At least she would have if the case hasn't been closed on her part (post tpr and appeal).
i have this "friend" i went to college with that i've been stalking on facebook. her life reads like a soap opera....it is a complete train wreck....she has had her children taken away from her and she writes about what is going on all the time. she will rant about how she has done everything and then post about what the worker has said and then admit that THAT part is not done....BUT she always has a "reason." she is totally out of touch with reality...does not understand what her attorney tells her or thinks her attorney means something else. she thinks she can still get her kids back just holding out but not finishing her plan(it isn't finished...but she says it is....you can clearly tell it is not.)....and all i see is that her kids are going to end up being adopted.
so....while i agree this person may be a troll.....i also think that it is totally possible that what she thinks is happening and what is happening are just 2 totally different things. the only thing that makes me say nevermind they are totally a troll is what crick said about referencing the cps mom thread.
What's making me suspicious is that everything happened in the same month. And it's all happening in the one month that you would think less stuff would happen because of people being on vacation and stuff.
"they were terminated in Dec 09 after the last appeal. thru county court. "
So he was taken and they had the trial or hearing or whatever and two or three appeals all in the same month? Wow, I have never heard of courts that move so fast!

Oh and she also finished her case plan in that time, her classes and everything. Wow, time moves faster there.
What's even more amazing about that quick whirl wind Lorraine? It's in CA with the worst state budget in the nation. Apparently though it's not affecting CPS, just the school's...;)

it is totally affecting cps. so if it is a troll...they totally picked the wrong state. lol. when i have cps/state related business to take care of....i can only call mon-thurs. friday they are all closed.
my youngest kid's mom (in CA) did not receive any services with him bc they knew they would tpr. his tpr hearing was scheduled when he was a month old for when he was 7 months old. that was considered fast! i'm pretty sure they make a habit of scheduling the tpr at least 6 months out. i'd like to think maybe she just has the dates wrong....but probably not. lol.
