I am (AA) 23 and single and ready to adopt! If anyone out there has any information about agencies that accept singles over 21, and have an AA infant program or actively seeking AA's to adopt AA/BR infants, please PM me! Any information that you can provide me (via PM) is GREATLY appreciated!

23 is too young! Go enjoy some more of what life has to offer first. JMHO!
I disagree, twenty-three is most definitely not too young. We were 22 when we began the adoption process and 23 when our son was born. We knew what we wanted and the time was right for us. We were married at the time we adopted and now have a beautiful almost 3-year-old son. I'm sure agencies are more hesitant to accept singles, but just keep looking until you find the right one!

I respect your opinion. However, I'm in a point in my life where I am ready to start a family. I'm not in a position to start it traditionally (but do want to be married in the future), but I have lots of love to give, I have a WONDERFUL and financially stable career, and I figure why not give a child a chance at a better life. So, thank you for your opinion, but I respectfully disagree with you!

Most agencies require you to be at least 25 & some of them want you to be older if you're single.
Thanks, for your input! I've already found more than a few agencies where I meet their requirements, but I would like to expand on this list. However, I'm about to be 24 soon, so by the time I actually start the process, I will be almost 25 so I've been documenting those too!! :thankyou:
