I've been told by different people that having a child already and if the mother is a working mom it makes it harder to be considered for adoption. Is this true?
It wasn't true in our case. My DH and I both work full time and we were matched within two months of completing home study. It just depends on what the emom is looking for.

Just my opinion, yes it does make it harder. From my limited experience, we havent been considered for many situations strictly because we have a bio child and i work full time. It sucks, cuz i am certainly not any less of a great mother because i work and yet that doesnt seem to really make a difference. we have been waiting 18 months now.
It all depends on what the emom is looking for really. its up to them on what they want in a family for their baby. It might be an issue for some, for some not.
Dont let it discourage you, the previous poster only waited 2 months, maybe you only will also..... Rach
I agree with one of the previous posters: It all depends on the total package the eparents are looking for. I work full time as a teacher, and have a biological child. We were signed with the agency for only 9 months prior to placement.
