Originally Posted By RayHi Jane - thanks for your comment. The problem as I understand it is that the US won't issue a visa for the child to live here unless the child has lived with you for 2 years. So it is ok from the Australian end, but getting the US visa is supposed to be a problem. If you know how to address this, I would be glad to hear. Thanks.
