It seems referrals are taking longer and longer. Maybe the summer slowed things down a bit and things will begin to pick up again now.
Just wondering ...We have been waiting 15 months, going on 16 months, after turning a referral down Jan of this year.

I am interested to hear any news as well. The last two families I heard of with referrals were in March and April. I know families who have been waiting 18 months, 12 months, 6 months (two families), 5 months (me), around a month, less than 1 month. Those two families from March and April are just going back for their second trips this month.

We got a referral two weeks ago. We ended up turning it down. It was the first referral where we asked for info and asked our questions.
Though it didn't work out, it was a good learning experience, and it was nice to see a referral come through.
We've been waiting a year.

I know of one family that accepted a referral about a month ago and has taken their first trip. Another accepted a referral over the summer and is on their first trip now.

Has anyone accepted their first referral? If not, were the referrals you turned down way out of your parameters, or was it something you didn't decide you could handle until you researched the details of the referral?
