1. I can't seem to relax either too hot or cold.
2. I can't sleep at nite for one reason or another.
3. It seems like I am on a cycle every other week.
4. Moody as heck cuz of the aforementioned.
I could go on and on but forties turning out to be a "bear" for me. I wonder what the 50's or 60's are like? anyone? or better yet any suggestions for surviving the forties would be greatly appreciated.

I am 46 and have all that; it sounds like you are perimenopausal (actually, i think i might have gone one further step). I assume though that you have probably figured that out already. Hopefully, it doesn't last too many years.
Being a mommy in my mid 40's is far better than being me in my 20's and 30's. I just can't imagine myself as a mother before I was 40. I have a load more patience. I have a nice home that's paid for, have good taste in clothing and decor. I can recite and share all the old nursery rhymes with my kids and teach them a lot riddles from when I was young. Most of these things the younger mothers in my groups don't have a clue about... "What do you mean who's humpty dumpty?" I can afford to take my kids on great vacations now when they are young and cute and bring smiles to the faces of all that see them.
I don't know if not sleeping nights is because of my age, or because one of my boys is always waking me up and I just can't get back to sleep. And the night sweats? Is that me or my 4 year old sleeping on top of me?
Laugh lines are more pronounced because I can't stop laughing and smiling at my kids.... I'll take it.
