I was born in IL and have been corrosponding with my bmom for almost two years. She gave me the name of my bdad, but I am not able to locate anything about him on the internet. My bmom also looked, but couldn't find anything either. I have his name and approximate year of his birth. Was hoping someone out there has some more resources and could help me.

Have you checked all those classmate sites etc and electoral rolls (i know voting isn't compulsory in the US but still worth checking).
