If we ever adopt this boy it'll be a miracle.
As of a month ago, the hold up was a missing affidavit that actually doesn't exist. Finally got a court date of 10/29 (that'd be tomorrow). Party is planned for Saturday, we are ready to go!
Then today the County Surrogate says he's missing something. Workers start faxing like crazy but there is still a missing item.
So tomorrow morning 8:30 am we are showing up at court to go through the motions of adopting and they are just not filing the paperwork immediately as they'll be waiting for that last whatever.

Been there! You brought back the anxiety like it was yesterday. everything gets real crazy at the end
things will be super calm in a week or too. And then you'll be trying to figure out whats missing in your life. Eventually you'll figure out - the chaos is gone :D

We did it! We adopted him, hooray!
Chaos not done yet though, still have baby sister here...oh, to have the state out of my life once and for all, won't that be divine?
Now we get to have our party and then get an amended birth certificate that says I gave birth to a kid I don't remember being pregnant with...
