Does anyone know how long subsidy negotiation takes in Texas? Sent in all paperwork on Wednesday. Just curious as we are out of state.
Thanks!
I didn't realize there was a negotiation. We were told what the subsidy would be by email and told that the paperwork is in the mail to be signed. There was no negotiation at all for us.

The negotiator once received has 15 business days, I have never see it take more than 10 then though. Depends on the region and everything is submitted correctly!
We received the subsidy paperwork yesterday. I'm confused though. It says that we will get a call from the subsidy negotiator. I was under the impression, as previously noted, that we were already told what the subsidy would be. I don't know if this is just a formality or if she was telling us the maximum that K qualifies for and it can only go down from there.
Seems it is just a formality as his SW says that the numbers she gave me over the phone is what his subsidy will be no matter what we write down. Our CW suggested to get all of the numbers down just in case they later use that information for renegotiating subsidy. I mailed the paperwork back on the 23rd of November and now are waiting on the phone call to again state what the subsidy will be. Again, apparently just a formality.

Yes, it is usually a set amount unless there are other factors such as loc or medical problems which negotiate at a higher bracket. Writing down the activities, expenses etc is just a formality. Congrats on your soon to be placement it seems!
They call it "negotiation" but there's usually no negotiating. You usually get $400 per month plus Medicaid, unless the kids have higher needs, then it's $540 (I think).
For us, they called the day after they received the paperwork from us.
I sent off the subsidy paperwork on November 23rd and I was just told this week not to expect a call until January for the "negotiation".
