I am iso any birth family. i have very little information. hospital and birth date but day may have been changed. non id information. how does the non id info help? what should i be looking for in it? any angels that can help me. I was born and adopted in Utah, SLC Feb. 1971. I am really desperate to find them.
I am in a very similar situation. I have been searching for my birth family off and on for about 10 years now. Recently I have been really digging and have found out some disturbing information regarding what I thought I knew about my adoption. I am not a search angel but I if you want I can take a look at what you have and see if I can help in some way. Utah is an extremely hard state to get anything out of. If you want me to look at what you have or want to talk please let me know!

You should get your non-ID information:
https://www.utdcfsadopt.org/search_reunion.shtml
300 South Rio Grande Street
Salt Lake City, UT 84101-1106
(801) 538-6363
(that's the address of the state gov't reunion registry according to Google)
Non-ID as you probably know contains the basics - or sometimes, not even the basics. Mine, for instance (I'm from NY) just gives me really basic info that was essentially not helpful in locating solid information.
If there was an agency involved, you should contact them and ask for non-ID also. Also contact the hospital and ask if they have non-ID medical records that they can give to you, or ask for a list of baby girls born on the day you suspect is your DOB.
Just curious - - why are you "desperate" to locate biological relatives?

Thanks for the replies. Nicole I have my non id info and I am registered on the voluntary registry list. Thanks for the info. I know there isn't much info on the non id papers. I have just seen some people post that they have gotten a lot of information and help from what they had on theirs. kalsmommy i was just wondering what i should look for, my information is very basic and mostly medical with no agencies, hospitals, names or places. I have also heard that Utah is hard and that it is quite possible that my info has been falsified. Thanks for you time and help guys. Good luck to you xx
kalsmommy-The non id info i have now i got from my adoptive parents. i am waiting for my own copy to arrive in the mail from the vital records dept along with an official birth certificate, whatever official means. all my info has is very basic, height, weight, eye color, hair color and health problems of both my birth parents and grandparents. i question the information on my birth certificate, long story there.

I got my non-id info from the agency that my adoption was through. When I first got it I had no idea what to look for in that info that would help in my search. I had to read it and re-read it a million times. I learned that you have to think outside the box and get a little creative. The info that was given to me was very basic. And included my birth mothers age, hair, eye color height weight (same for her mom and dad and my birth father and his father). You have mentioned health problems...this may actually help you in your search. If you know or can find out what court your adoption was finalized in or the agency that was used you may have "reasonable cause" to petition the courts to open your file for medical reasons. Again, please let me know if there is any info or anything I can try to do to help you!
