okay i have some questions. I'm 26, going to college, and make a little under 1k a month. will i be able to adopt? i was looking at the dcf website for my area and they said they cover most stuff. i live in Florida. i was thinking about adoption because I'm a volunteer coach and i have a kid on my team that is in foster care. how long does it take and am i able to request information on him?
thank you for your time reading this and any info is helpful.

How old is the child? There are usually rules about how much older you need to be than the child.
Do you have an extra bedroom? Could you afford a place with an extra bedroom? I would be surprised if your income will qualify, but you need to check your local agency for income requirements.
This child may not be available for adoption, most foster children are on a plan to reunite them with birth family, or may be adopted by their foster families. So that may also be a barrier.
There are many factors, and the requirements vary a lot from state to state so you should start with your local dshs, usually the requirements can be found on their website.
