Adoptees Online Bible Study Begins Jan 23rd Week

Hi Fellow Adoptees, With the New Year 2011 beginning I wanted to start a personal bible study with a book I was introduced to called, ReWriting Your Emotional Script by Becky Harling, A 10 week study focusing on the Beautitudes. Since I have facilitated adoption triad support groups for over 14 years in Indiana and currently in the Chicagoland IL area, I have recognized how adoption has impacted the emotions and identities of adopted persons. This wonderful book I have chosen to study is written by a pastor's wife and it is more geared for a female audience. Those who join with me to study will be blessed by listening to an audio session by the author and a couple radio hosts who presented an online study of this books for 10 weeks this past summer- Its great for you can listen to the audio any time that is convenient for you each week- I will send the link to the audio session that is about an hour. Any adoptees 18 and up are welcome to join with me in an online bible study beginning the week of January 23rd. For a week we will share about the lesson & readings & audio sessions by posting on a forum. The book can be purchased online through any online stores like Amazon, Christianbooks.com and other stores. You also might check with your local library and ask your librarian to try to get you a copy of the book through inter-library loan. It is not mandatory to buy the book but would truly benefit's one's learning, growth, and enhance your participation in discussions with other adoptees. No fees, no former church affiliation or bible study skills required, no tests, Just great discussions, sharing, emotional support, encouragement and prayer. No guilt, just GRACE. There will not be any pressure - voluntary sharing. You can go at your own pace and do both the reading of the book and the audio sessions or just listen to the sessions and then join in on discussing the lessons in regards to the adoptee experience.
