If you are still snowed in, you might want to watch this today. The father of a 16-year-old expecting a baby is at odds with his wife over how to handle the situation.
Jeanie(wife) said whatever EmilyӒs decision is, she will support it. I think at 16, she doesnt know what is best for her. ItҒs our responsibility as parents to help her make the right decision not necessarily support the wrong one,ה Charles says. I think the way Jeanie is approaching it, she is abdicating her responsibility as a parent. I think we have to teach Emily, it is not the best thing to keep the baby, because she is not able to be an effective mother.Ӕ
Personally, I think the last family that Dr. Phil helped with teen pregnancy is a hot mess. Haven't seen an update lately but the girl just had her 3rd baby and doesn't have custody of the other two. It was sad.

That family is a hot mess but Dr. Phil tried. That's tough. Not sure how responsible a 16 yo can be.
I agree. Her situation was one difficult case, we can't always blame Dr. Phil or even her parents if Emily chooses that path. I really do hope her babies are very well taken cared of, whoever has them. Afterall, it's their future that's most important.

And one more thing, I would suggest that Emily's parents would consider sending her to a program where she gets to learn her lessons well and reflect on the effects of what she has done to her babies and herself. She definitely needs constant guidance since its evident that she really hasn't realized the effects of her decisions and actions.
