any special mlk day plans?

My friend and I are taking our dds to an mlk day concert where nikki giovanni (sp) also will be speaking. I am excited! Anyone else with special plans? I had to smile when I asked dd why mlk was so special. She said because things were not fair and blacks and whites could not ride on the same parts of the bus or drink from the same water fountains. She then added that she could have drank from both because she's black and white (missing the point but I couldn't burst her self-absorbed bubble!).
