We have biological children and are wondering if it's possible for us to adopt a child as well. I've heard they will reject you if you don't have a seperate bedroom for the foster/fost-adopt child.
Not even sure if they will let us because we are capabile of having biological children? We're not trying to be selfish knowing we already have kids, but we feel there must be local kids that need help from a family is open to a non-infant, non-Caucasian kid.
Anyone have any thoughts or info they can share?
I don't think you would have any problems being approved. Most of us already have children also and they only say that the foster child can't share a room with the opposite gender.

Of COURSE you can have bio kids and be foster parents:)
The separate bedroom rule is for kids over 5. So if you have 4 bio sons and get a foster girl who is 6, she would need her own room. But she could share with your bio daughters.
Foster kids need their own bed, space in the closet and drawers etc.
Thanks for sharing your insights! We've been nervous to even think it was a possibility. Going to start looking into agencies and attornies.
Thanks! :wings:
