Does anyone have any experience with switching agencies? We have been working with an agency and have completed the homestudy, but we are wondering if it's ok to switch to another agency. I don't have a different one in mind yet, just curious if anyone has switched.
Thanks

We didn't switch agencies, but we did list with other agencies. We had to make sure our current agency was ok with it first. This allowed us to be shown to more expectant families.
Have you all looked into referral agencies, they allow you to list with many agencies without being locked in to any of them. Hope this helps! Ray

We did switch. Go with your gut and work with someone you're comfortable with. We had a private attorney for a year (she was great, but we didn't have any luck). We had a TERRIBLE agency for a year (Adoption Connections, Andover KS) and lost 2 babies and a lot of money. THEN we switched to Adoption Centre of Kansas and were treated great, matched and got our daughter. Yes, the wait was worth it, but the journey was hard! Best wishes!
