I expressed interest in a sibling group of 3 from MO yesterday and was contacted about them today with a little more info and asking if I was still interested in being an adoptive resource. I know this is the first step and doesn't in any way mean that I am chosen.
This is a legal risk placement since TPR has not happened yet but it sounds like it's definitely going to happen. Ages 15, 11, and 4.
I'll admit that I'm a bit nervous about a teenager and from the info, they have been through alot and have some emotional/mental health issues as a result. However, I still have something inside me telling me that it would probably be fine and that I would just need to give them time and patience - probably a very naive view.
Does anyone know if there are times when legal risk placements are transferred to other states before TPR? It just doesn't seem like that would happen. Hopefully I will hear back from the worker tomorrow.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Did you get an answer to your question yet? I am from MO and from what I have read, they can place a child out of state, if TPR has not yet occurred, but they must have the ICPC approval though before they will move them. But I am not 100% sure on that and didn't know if you had heard from the CW or not.

I haven't heard yet. I'm thinking she may be waiting to review my home study from my worker before answering questions, or she may be out of the office. It's only been a couple of days.
That is interesting to know that they can go ahead and place if ICPC has occurred. Thanks.
