We were on the fastrack to adopt these 2 boys (1 & 2 yrs old) and at the end of the TPR trial, the judge gives biomom reunification services. We are devastated! Has anyone else had this happen to them?

I hear that.
We are in the process of reunifying an infant (less than 6 months old) that has been offered to family (not the parent, but extended family) at birth and at a month old. Both times the family said the infant was too much to handle and declined. Then, miraculously after the infant (who is a drug baby) started sleeping through the night and stopped showing day-to-day signs of drug exposure, they want her! Then they don't. Wait, then they do again!
Seriously.
She isn't old enough for us to get defacto status, so we can't even try to fight it. So, off she goes to family that doesn't want her for more than a few days at a time.
There is NOTHING about this system that appears to be "in the children's best interest".
I just wanted to say first off i am sorry this is happening, maybe they are just making sure they are taking all necessary steps required, and things may and still can work in your favor. Also to Moja, don't rule out de-facto parent status. I was awarded the status for my FD at 6mths of age. I met the criteria plain and simple, so Judge awarded it based solely on that, and that I had been her caretaker literally her whole life who better to speak on the best interest of this child better than me.
