Did anyone else see that Senator Broden introduced a bill (SB 0357) that would require the state to fund the account and basically there would be no wait list..I am having a somewhat hard time understanding it all. but what I printed says that it would be efffective July 1 2011. there was actually a meeting today on it and the websit has not been updated yet. if you look an IN.gov: Home.. go to senator Brodens area.. you can click on all the stuff he has sponsored and introduced. I hope I am seeing this all correctly.. wild!
but it would be great!

Everyone on here needs to write to your congress people, and email all your friends in Indiana and ask them to do the same - and ask for support of this bill. The website to use to write all congress people at one time is:
http://www.congressweb.com/cweb2/index.cfm/siteid/INU
You fill in your address and it gives you all your congressmen and you pick who you want to write to.

I have been trying to follow this bills progress. It now has a coauthor.. and is ready for the next commitee reading. I jsut cant find it on any schedule in the House or Senate.
side note. I noticed after I sent this that I did give the bills name (number) but didnt specify what it actually was about. I think I was all too exicted at the time!
SAS would be required to be paid not waitlisted.
sorry.. I realize it was very unclear in the first message. It would mean that the state has to fund the account that adoption subsidies are paid from ( the states general fund) They are not funding it at this time. at least not enough to pay any new subisidy agreements. It means that any child adopted that is deemed special needs and that the state has signed a subsidy agreement would have to be paid.. right now all are on a waitlist! ( until funds are available) This would be effective july 1 2011..
