Hey everyone!
We just received our daughter's referral last week and are sooooooo excited!!
We are giving her an American name that we have always loved and are planning on keeping her Korean name as her middle name. My question is whether we should keep her first AND last Korean name as her middle name (so she has two middle names) or just keep her Korean first name as her middle name?? Need to figure out what to list for legal documents, etc.....
Wondering what other people have done???
If you kept both names, did you hyphenate them or keep them separate???

My dd's name was told to us as SURNAME Keumbyul. Keumbyul is actually two separate syllables that mean gold star.Because Keumbyul looks confusing to western eyes, we decided to hyphenate it to Keum-Byul. Although now I find out some agencies do not allow hyphens. So in those cases I guess it will be Keum Byul. It's really an approximation of Hangul characters anyway. Is there a "right" way to do it? IDK.She was called Keum-Byul. She can use it later if she wants. It's a special name, given to her by her birthfamily. I am glad to keep part of her heritage and history for her. Adding a third syllable/name I think would have been to confusing for us. Secondly, in Korea (and many other Asian countries) surnames are often listed first, and here in the US obviously surnames are last (which is why we call them last names! lol). So I think it could be confusing if you did keep her surname... should it be first or last? With our DS's name, he was Manuel Middlename Lastname y Lastname. We kept Manuel for his middle name.Anyway, that's what we've done.
