I'm in Eastern KY and have figured out adoption is defeintely what I want to do. However I am single and still young (old enough to adopt yet still a couple years younger than 21) Are there any agencies in KY that would be willing to work with me that anyone knows of? I'm having trouble finding agencies period. Thanks so much!

I don't know about kentucky but in Michigan you can become a foster parent at age 18 and can sometimes adopt from foster care. We were placed with our sons at ages 13 mos and 2 days old and the parents were given a reunification plan, but they failed to complete it so we adopted the boys. Our oldest son (13 mos at placement) reunification lasted 2.5 years, our youngest sons (placed at 2 days old) lasted 3 mos. I was 20 when my oldest son was placed and he was 13 mos old.
